Those clients who are on Chocolate may be experiencing some high latency while visiting your sites tonight. This is because I have been forced to run an FSCK (File System Check) on the back up drive. If this check is not run, then backups will not continue to run at the daily scheduled time and the file system may become compromised. I run daily and monthly backups on every site located on Chocolate and it’s important that all of your sites are properly backed up should the need arise to restore a file or two, or the entire site if need be.
I definitely apologize for the inconvenience, however, current backups are a top priority.
FSCK has been completed, it took about 30 minutes so if any visitors reported high latency, this is why. The load is currently going back down to normal range between 1-2.
